I've always wondered about that.

Cheesehead hasn't said anything about the color choice yet. I'm not sure he's even noticed. They're Viking colors (I like to goad him a little bit since no one gives him a hard time about being a Packer fan. I think he secretly misses it. So I try to tease him instead.)

So, the small ones are violas and the big ones are pansies? I guess I never though there was much of a difference. I guess you learn something new every day!

Favorite annual? That's a tough one! I have a favorite perrineal because they smell wonderful, they bloom all summer, and they come in gorgeous color. Annuals on the other hand are a whole 'nother story. I like the double impatiens because they remind me of a rose, but they don't do well in the intense sun at the front of my house. I enjoy pansies and petunias because of their wonderful colors. Geraniums have wonderful clumps of flowers that add a lovely burst of color to any yard. Begonias are such pretty little flowers too. I like to buy ones with different laeves to mix my arrangements up a bit. Coleus have such lovely leaves. I could go on and on! I can't pick just one of them.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09582157624382487302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36363347.post-28011939298260072132008-04-20T01:41:00.000-05:002008-04-20T01:41:00.000-05:00They are beautiful! The flowers will freeze but the leaves will not. So they will bloom again when temps rise about freezing. Violas will bloom for us all summer but pansies burn up after June. What is your favorite flowering annual?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36363347.post-41355592616291745532008-04-19T23:15:00.000-05:002008-04-19T23:15:00.000-05:00When nothing else is blooming, it's a must! That thought never even occured to me!

GG- I know! They are so bright and cheerful looking, aren't they? I wish we had more colors and varieties available, but at this point I'm just happy to have any flowers at all! I had this luscious hot pink one all picked out, but I couldn't find a color pack that looked just right with it.

I'm planning on using these lovelies in some hanging baskets I'll be planting later.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09582157624382487302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36363347.post-6474960133317490072008-04-19T07:36:00.000-05:002008-04-19T07:36:00.000-05:00Cinj, yesterday my coworkers and I unloaded three ...Cinj, yesterday my coworkers and I unloaded three racks of pansies.
