This blog shares stories of our adventures, experiments, gardening techniques, crafting exploits, and a great many other things. I do not try to make myself look perfect either. There's nothing fake here. I share my failures as well as successes. This blog documents all aspects of our lives, not just what we are good at. Stop by, have a nice tall cold glass of lemonade, and chat with me, won't you?

Free-cycling my old paint
OMG! You should see the FAB colors I have created! I brought back any paints that I no longer needed to keep in BL and I mixed them to get full gallons. I love the results!Peanut wanted a pink and purple room so I have a gallon that's a bubble gum pink and a lovely lavendar-ish color too. Also made a nice green that looks fantastic with the flooring we've picked out for the family room's accent wall. I have a full gallon of some sort of beige paint, which I will paint the bathroom. TBO wants yellow, I'm tired of the kitchen yellow and he wants it in his room. Win-win! So, I have all this paint to use and don't even need to buy too much. A couple of gallons for the family room. We should be painting by this weekend. The drywallers are supposed to be finished here tomorrow so I can start priming Saturday. One step closer to getting the kids into their own bedrooms! I thought I was all painted out, but THIS painting is going to be done for my own enjoyment, so I'm actually kind of excited about it.
