Silly cat. Speedy just dropped her last take. I've never seen anything quite like it! I keep trying to get a picture of her doing the deed, but she always has it dropped by the time my camera's ready. Darn digital! It's so funny seeing her carrying these things, especially the ones that are bigger than she is. Her head's high in the air and you can hear it dragging across the linoleum.
Sorry the picture's a bit weird, it must still be on the setting I used for the snow mold. The stash? 4 slippers and 4 stuffed animals. Is there a common theme? As far as I can tell it just needs to be soft and fuzzy.
Thank you for stopping by. Please leave me a message and a backlink. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Cindy

Has she had kittens? looks to me like she might be broody and wanting something to mother.
I had a dog like that once. Every time the cat had kittens, the dog would steal them and take them to her basket. She only wanted to pretend they were hers, but I always found myself trying to get them back pacify a frantic mother cat and then trying to cheer up a dog who felt I'd deprived her of "her" babies
Ha! This is priceless, and so is Sue's story of the kitten-snatching dog. Just last night, I heard my Maine coon, Athena, making the "Look at me, the mighty huntress" sound--a sort of eerie wail, quite unlike any other type of noise, that they all make, usually when hauling around a mouse--and went into the living room to see that she'd hauled in an enormous stuffed animal I'd bought years ago for Miss Molly when she was a toy-chomping adoolescent pup. (Of course, no sooner had I brought this one home than she stopped chewing toys, but it was so cute I couldn't bear to toss it. It had been sitting next to the cat castle, completely ignored, ever since.)
Cats are funny creatures Cinj.. sometimes there is no explaining there thinking or motives ? LOL
We just admire them and prepare for anything ? .. well .. what we can think of ? haha

I had a cat, a sweet, male Siamese who used to bring home assorted GREEN things. I lived in a small beach community of mainly old cottages that, like mine, had no screens on the windows. Perfect for a cat burglar! One time it was a small green bath mat, another time a green key chain (with a car key and what looked like a house key). He would always bring his latest treasure in and drop it at my feet. The evening he presented me with his latest find and it was a $20.00 dollar bill was the topper. I was afraid I was going to see him on America's Most Wanted!
cinj,
Cats...they do the strangest things. Right now my kitty alternates between shunning me for leaving him for a week or sitting on top of me to stop me from leaving again.
How's the weather?
gail
Too funny! Mungus drags things around too--and he's a large neutered male. He likes to carry my foot file, the bag for my yoga mat, socks, washclothes, showlaces (preferably attached to a shoe or boot)...curious, what they do sometimes. Great fun, too!
Thanks for faving me! I don't know what it means but I am thinking it is good! I appreciate it very much and enjoy reading here.
Sue- No. That does sound like a reasonable idea. It's kind of funny. She drops them all near where I'm sitting and yowls about it. Funny story about your dog and cat, I can totally imagine that!
Ellen- Isn't that just the way those silly critters work? She never takes out her own toys, it's always someone else's things. No wonder I can never find anything!
Joy- It's been around 70 the last couple of days, so the snow is finally almost gone. About time!
Lin- Wow, you have a true cat burgalar! That's too funny. I wonder where she came up with the money from?
Gail- Typical cat. I have one that would do that!
The weather has been beautiful the last few days. I'm so happy, now I can finally get out into the yard.
Jodi- Wow. Your Mungus is quite an ecclectic collector! Maybe they do weird things like that just to cheer us up and give us a good chuckle???
Tina- No problem. It is good. I feel like I'm always forgetting to check your blog which I enjoy reading. Now that Stuart has his "ice cream flavored" picks, I get all of the blogs I like to read all in one place. Now I can just hit all of the blogs on my faved blogs list. I run to others too if I have the time.
So if I faved my favorites I can just scroll through them all? I really want this feature on blogger! It would save me so much time because now I have a ton saved on my favorites. The one time I tried to fave it only let me do one so I decided to do none. Maybe I'll relook at it.
I like blogs best when the blogger responds and you do a great job! Thanks for reading mine but I wish I could understand more of gardening in the north. Though my family lives in Maine and I am familiar with northern gardening it is kind of hard for me to relate and I think Wisconsin may be even colder than Maine! My sister may begin posting some stuff from up north that you may have growing there-lady's slippers? Pink ones? Here's wishing a fast spring for you and that your house problems turn out ok.
LOL! Cats are so fun and entertaining aren't they?
Tina- Yes. It is really neat. I'm still working on earning more favorites though. Every time I think I'm there I find more blogs that I like!
I log onto blotanical before logging onto blogger, otherwise I seem to have nothing but trouble. Once I'm on blotanical I pull up my faved blogs and then I can see if anyone has a new post up. Of course it doesn't tell you if there's a response to a post you responded to, but I suppose nothing can really make it THAT easy. I just have to see if my "alzheimer's" subsides enough for me to remeber to check for responded to messages. I probably wouldn'tr even remember to check my own if I didn't have blogger email me when comments were made. LOL!
Yup-I know that Alzheimers thing! My son calls it old age disease but he has it too at 13! lol
