The reports differ. I have heard that we are supposed to get either 5-10 inches of snow or 6-12. Only time will tell which one is correct. This is one of those situations when the less is more approach is what I'm aiming for. Not that it's my choice or anything but one can hope!
The snow started awhile ago. The wind has driven the snow into the trees. Can you tell which way the wind is blowing? It does look pretty, although I am SO ready for spring at this point. On the bright side, at least we aren't under the blizzard warning like some of the northern counties.
Wish us luck with our snow forecast.
Thank you for stopping by. Please leave me a message and a backlink. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Oh my goodness, can you believe it? I can hear sleet hitting my house windows as I'm typing this, good grief, do they have any winter, snow plants for us? Have a good evening Cinj!
Kathi :)
Cinj, wow, still snowing. Hope you get spring soon.
Deb.
Brrrr....Sounds cold! I'm curious about heating a home in your area. You have gas? Electric? Here our monthly bill seems fairly high and we don't really use our heating/AC all that much (electric + we're partly solar). I think it was a couple hundred last month. Do you pay a set amount all year long? We don't, but my brother, who lives in northern CA (where it snows), has that option.
Southern CA is supposed to be unusually warm tomorrow...low 80's the weather guy said...what a difference!
Sending a **warm** breeze your way! (Yours, too, Kathi!)
Can you feel it? :-)
Yuck. We've been dealing with thunderstorms, heavy rain and hard, straight winds. It's supposed to get cold tonight down into the 30s.~~Dee
Cinj .. good grief girl ! when are you ever going to get at least a taste of Spring ? .. we might have some mixed rain snow here .. but not like you are having ..hang in there .. Spring does have to happen SOON !!!
Joy
Kathi- Good question! Maybe we should make a run up to the north pole to see what they grow up there.
Deb- Me too. So far only 2.5 inches but there's still the rest of the day and Saturday morning.
Lin- Actually it's not too bad. I've had both heating types but gas is more efficient supposedly. We use natural gas right now. Our bills are staying lower now that we have a programable thermostat. Most of the time the bill seems to be under $200. I'm not on a budget plan, but I could choose to be on one if I wanted to. I like to have a little extra money to spend on plants in the summer though.
That warm breeze sure felt nice! Could I have some more, please?
Dee- I love thunderstorms although I'd prefer a nice gentle rain to the driving rain. I guess you don't get much of a choice either though.
Joy- I'm not sure. We have had times where we've basically skipped spring and gone right to summer. I guess when you see so little of spring it makes it all the better to savor! Time will tell I suppose.
I feel your pain. I hope it goes away quickly and we can all warm up!
